Linen Nightshirt.
Thank you for all the masses of feedback we got on this subject. It is very helpful, particularly to get some idea of the cross section of sizes needed. I will try to cover most of your questions here.
Style: The nightshirts will be cut to exactly the same style as before, they will be available in the 4 different sizes which do seem to cover most eventualities!
Colours: This gave most pause for thought and these will be amended slightly. Whatever we end up with, it won’t be the end of the story, just the beginning in fact, as we will add to or change the choice over the coming months. One thing is for sure, we will now be offering a stripe and we will have a darker blue too.
Linen: We will be using the same Irish linen, maintaining our quality.
Price: It is impossible to say at this stage but our last selling price for the nightshirt was £88 and this was a number of years ago so I think it is fair to say that as prices for most things including labour, have increased, it is not unreasonable to estimate that it will be more than this. Having said that, we will do all we can to limit the increase.
Pyjamas: A number of people asked if we could repeat these. Whilst they will be under consideration, they are not at the top of our list just yet. Although we are all fans of them here, they are considered two garments at manufacture; a top and a pair of trousers, and as a result the cost and therefore the selling price, is never low and at the moment we would rather invest in another daytime tunic or dress, for example.
