Which of the trouser styles are right for me?

An easy reference guide, with all of our trouser information in one place.

  • Leg width

This image illustrates the difference between hem width of some of our linen trousers. From the top there is: Sarah, Goldilocks and Helen/Daisy.

This isn’t the whole story because there is the cut of the trousers at thigh level. In general terms, Helen and Daisy are the widest with Sarah and Goldilocks being pretty similar.

  • Sarah

Sarah trousers have a tapered cut, with a relaxed thigh but not a wide leg such as Helen and Daisy.

They have side pockets and an elasticated waist with flat front.

  • Goldilocks

Goldilocks have a relaxed leg shape. Not too baggy, not too narrow. You choose whether or not you want pockets, belt and loops.

  • Trouser building blocks

Goldilocks was our first almost bespoke garment where you could choose whether or not to have pockets etc. We have now extended this to all of our trousers.

  • Helen

Helen are our wide legged cropped trousers.

  • Daisy

Daisy is the same wide legged cut as our Helen cropped style, but Daisy trousers are full length.

  • What is meant by almost bespoke?

A fully bespoke garment would be one that required its own individual pattern which would need to be created by a pattern cutter and individually fitted. This would be very costly in terms of staff time and expertise. Our ‘almost’ bespoke is a compromise whereby our standard patterns are used but you can choose whether or not to have certain design features which do not fundamentally affect the basic pattern. This way we can also continue to accept garments for exchange or refund.

  • Trouser length

We will supply any of the trousers in whatever leg length you require. There is no additional charge for this and you may still return them for exchange or refund.
